METS Transportation Service Program

Free Transportation to Medical Appointments

METS is a free, non-emergency transportation program that helps eligible Tehama County residents get to and from medical appointments. Through a network of dedicated volunteer drivers, METS provides reliable transportation for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to accessing healthcare services.

Medical Non-Emergency Transportation Service

How the Program Works

Getting started with METS is simple. Eligible riders can apply for the program and schedule transportation for approved medical appointments. Once a ride is requested, a volunteer driver is matched with the rider and provides transportation to and from their healthcare destination.

METS is designed to remove transportation barriers, helping residents access doctor visits, hospital appointments, dialysis treatments, physical therapy, diagnostic testing, and other essential healthcare services.

Common Trip Destinations Include:
Doctor and specialist appointments
Hospitals and medical centers
Dialysis treatments
Physical therapy appointments
Medical testing and imaging services
Other approved healthcare destinations
